Group Listening Guidelines
- We practice attentive listening with the intention to understand and offer compassion.
- We cultivate empathy, openness, and respect for everyone present.
- We maintain confidentiality - stories shared here remain between us.
- We listen without interrupting or finishing one another’s sentences. We patiently wait until the speaker literally says “period.” (“dot”) to mark the end—then, and only then, we sing together: “We listen, we don’t judge.”
- We speak from our own perspective and personal experiences (using "I" statements).
- We refrain from offering judgments or advice.
- Meetings are not recorded. We kindly ask that you refrain from recording.
